Residents suffering from the aftermath of a stroke or other neurological diseases often feel helpless and hopeless due to their lack of independence. Here at Gwynedd, we use a wide array of rehab modalities to help stroke patients regain their strength, mobility and independence – giving them a new lease on life.
At Gwynedd, intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapies are offered up to 7 days per week to help our residents recapture the skills they lost, whether it’s overcoming paralysis, dysphagia, or learning how to speak once again.
Anxiety, depression, anger, and frustration are just some of the emotions experienced by stroke survivors. Our team works together to facilitate the return of each resident to the daily activities they love, while providing the necessary psycho-social support so crucial to our residents’ wellbeing.
