Following surgery or illness, Gwynedd offers the ideal setting for your rehabilitation.

Our rehabilitation team is comprised of physical, occupational, and speech therapists, each helping patients master different aspects of function and self-care.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Physical Therapy addresses strength training, range of motion, walking, balance issues, fall prevention, prosthetics, orthotics, transfers, and bed mobility. Modalities include therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, endurance and fitness training, joint mobilization, and massage/myofascial release.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapy concentrates on muscle strength and tone, gross and fine motor coordination, visual/perception difficulties, positioning, wheelchair management, cognition, and activities of daily living. Various treatments include a range of motion exercises, splinting, coordination exercises, compensatory training, positioning devices, and ADL practice in a real-life setting.

SPEECH THERAPY

Speech Therapy focuses on language, speech and voice disorders, hearing, weight loss/poor food intake, and memory loss through the use of various techniques, such as oral motor exercises, aphasia therapy, dysphagia therapy, compensatory strategies, and cognitive therapy.
