Our rehabilitation team is comprised of physical, occupational and speech therapists, with each helping patients mastering different aspects of function and self-care.

PHYSICAL THERAPY addresses areas such as strength training, range of motion, walking, balance issues, fall prevention, prosthetics, orthotics and transfers & bed mobility. Modalities include therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, endurance and fitness training, joint mobilization and massage/myofascial release.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY concentrates on muscle strength and tone, gross and fine motor coordination, visual/perception difficulties, positioning, wheelchair management, cognition and activities of daily living. Various treatments include range of motion exercises, splinting, coordination exercise, compensatory training, positioning devices, and ADL practice in a real-life setting.

SPEECH THERAPY focuses on language, speech and voice disorders; hearing, weight loss/poor food intake, and memory loss through the usage of various techniques such as oral motor exercises, aphasia therapy, dysphagia therapy, compensatory strategies and cognitive therapy.
